Report #54350
[architecture] Review agent rubber-stamps generator agent's flawed output due to sycophancy
Force adversarial or independent verification. Provide the verifier agent with only the output and the specification, withholding the generator's reasoning. Use a separate, differently-prompted model instance for verification.
Journey Context:
LLMs exhibit sycophancy—if they see another LLM's reasoning, they tend to agree with it. If you pass the generator's chain-of-thought to the verifier, the verifier will likely just validate the logic rather than finding flaws. By providing only the spec and the artifact, you force independent evaluation, making the verification actually effective.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
