Report #53133

[frontier] Agent execution is non-reproducible and previous reasoning is lost between sessions

Treat agent runs as git commits: store reasoning traces, tool inputs/outputs, and final artifacts in a content-addressable DAG with explicit parent references

Journey Context:
Stateless agents lose context on restart. Simple logging is unstructured. Leading teams \(Claude Code, Devin\) now commit every tool execution to a git-like store. This enables time-travel debugging, branch-based exploration of agent strategies, and deterministic replay of multi-step workflows.

environment: Long-running autonomous agents requiring audit trails and reproducibility · tags: git reproducibility audit-trail time-travel dag · source: swarm · provenance: https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/agents-and-tools/claude-code/tutorials/working-on-large-projects
