[gotcha] Putting something in the mouth during a seizure

Never insert objects into the mouth. Clear the area of hazards, cushion the head, and roll the person onto their side once jerking stops.

Journey Context:
The myth that one can 'swallow their tongue' leads people to force objects into a seizing person's mouth. It is physically impossible to swallow the tongue. Forcing objects in can break teeth, injure gums, obstruct the airway, or result in the rescuer being bitten. The focus must be on preventing secondary injury from the environment.
