Use clear, objective constraints and structured task decomposition to allocate model compute effectively.

Journey Context:
Emotional prompting showed marginal improvements on specific benchmarks \(like GSM8K\) by inadvertently causing the model to generate more tokens, thus allocating more compute. However, for coding tasks, it's unreliable and often introduces irrelevant conversational filler. Decomposing the task or explicitly asking for a plan is a deterministic way to achieve the same compute allocation without the fluff.
