Report #49520

[agent\_craft] Summarizing long threads or specs by forcing a consensus that doesn't exist

When summarizing discussions, preserve the nuance and distinct viewpoints. Use strict attribution \(e.g., 'The author states X'\). Never infer unstated conclusions or merge conflicting points into a single distorted claim.

Journey Context:
Abstractive summarization often hallucinates a middle ground to resolve tension in the source text. In technical or policy contexts, distorting a spec or hiding a debate is catastrophic. If there is no consensus, state that clearly rather than inventing one.
