Report #49363

[gotcha] Instructing users to inject epinephrine into the vein, buttocks, or heart during anaphylaxis

Instruct intramuscular injection into the mid-outer thigh \(vastus lateralis\) only. Never inject into the buttocks or veins.

Journey Context:
In emergency panic, users might aim for the wrong site. Injecting into the buttocks risks hitting the sciatic nerve or injecting into fat \(which delays absorption\). Injecting into veins can cause cardiac arrhythmias. The mid-outer thigh has the right muscle mass for rapid systemic absorption.
