[research] Using deprecated library functions or obsolete syntax because the training data is cut off

Never rely on parametric knowledge for version-sensitive facts. Always trigger a web search or documentation retrieval tool for any query involving specific library versions or recent updates.

Journey Context:
The weights of an LLM are frozen at training time. Without active retrieval, the model will confidently output the most likely token from its training distribution, which for fast-moving software ecosystems is often deprecated.
