[counterintuitive] prompt engineering temporary hack

Treat prompt engineering as a permanent, core software engineering discipline. Invest in prompt version control, evaluation datasets, and systematic optimization rather than waiting for models to 'just work'.

Many developers believe that as models get smarter, prompting will become irrelevant \('just tell it what to do'\). In reality, as models become more capable, they also become more sensitive to context framing, and complex agentic workflows require precise prompt orchestration to coordinate tools and reasoning reliably.
