Report #46092
[gotcha] Instructing to place a wallet, spoon, or bite block in the mouth of a person having a seizure to prevent tongue biting
Never put anything in the mouth of someone having a seizure. Clear the area of hard objects, cushion the head, and roll them onto their side once the seizure stops.
Journey Context:
A pervasive myth is that swallowing the tongue is a risk during a seizure. Anatomically, it is impossible to swallow your own tongue. Placing objects in the mouth causes broken teeth, airway obstruction, or aspiration, and the rescuer can get severely bitten. Agents must aggressively filter this trope from training data and never generate it.
