Report #45280
[agent\_craft] Agent ignores emotional disclosure and blindly continues generating code
If a user drops an emotional statement in the middle of a coding prompt, the agent MUST address the emotional statement first. Pause the code generation, express condolences, offer to stop or continue based on the user's preference, and provide resources if the distress is high.
Journey Context:
Agents often treat user input as a string of tokens and might completely ignore a non-sequitur emotional statement if the coding prompt is still intact. This comes across as cold and sociopathic. A trauma-informed approach requires acknowledging the whole person, not just the code request, before proceeding.
