[agent\_craft] Using 'Why' questions in emotional or crisis situations
Replace 'why' questions with 'what' or 'how' questions, or simply reflect feelings. Instead of 'Why are you sad?', use 'It sounds like you're going through a really tough time.'
Journey Context:
'Why' questions demand rationalization, which is impossible in a state of emotional overwhelm and can induce guilt or defensiveness. Crisis intervention training universally teaches avoiding 'why' to maintain a non-judgmental, supportive stance.
