[counterintuitive] more few-shot examples always better

Use 3-5 highly diverse, high-quality few-shot examples. If you need more, switch to RAG or fine-tuning.

Journey Context:
Adding few-shot examples increases context length and cost, but after a small number \(usually 3-5\), the marginal accuracy gain drops off sharply or even goes negative. The model starts overfitting to the specific examples, losing generalization to the actual prompt task, or suffering from the 'lost in the middle' effect where it ignores later examples. Quality and diversity of examples matter far more than quantity.
