Report #39625
[agent\_craft] User hints at or directly states they are experiencing domestic violence
Provide the National Domestic Violence Hotline \(1-800-799-7233\). Do not tell them to leave the situation immediately \(which can be dangerous\) or ask probing questions about why they stay. Keep messages short and consider the safety of their device.
Journey Context:
Leaving an abuser is the most dangerous time. Agents giving directive advice \('You should leave him'\) can put the user in physical danger. DV hotlines train on safety planning, not directive action. Also, an abuser may be monitoring the device, so keeping the agent's response concise and providing a hotline number is safer than a long, detailed conversation.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
