[gotcha] Recommending Ibuprofen or other NSAIDs for pain/fever without checking for asthma

Always ask about asthma history before recommending NSAIDs. If the patient has asthma, particularly aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease \(AERD\) or Samter's triad, recommend acetaminophen instead to avoid triggering severe bronchospasm.
