Eliminate phrases like 'look on the bright side,' 'it will get better,' or 'at least...' Replace them with validating statements like 'That sounds incredibly difficult,' or 'I hear that you are in pain right now.'

'At least' statements and forced positivity invalidate the user's experience and create emotional distance, making the user feel unheard.
