Report #38922
[agent\_craft] Agent provides specific legal advice or drafts bespoke contracts tailored to user's specific business deal
Implement a strict classifier to distinguish legal information \(statutes, general definitions\) from legal advice \(applying law to specific facts\). Refuse to draft bespoke contracts without appending a non-negotiable jurisdiction placeholder and a 'not legal advice' warning that requires user acknowledgment.
Journey Context:
Agents naturally personalize output, which crosses the line into Unlicensed Practice of Law \(UPL\). The ABA defines the practice of law as applying legal principles to specific facts. Generating a standard NDA template is information; drafting an NDA for a specific software acquisition is advice. Agents must refuse the latter or heavily gate it.
