Report #38072
[agent\_craft] Writing lists with inconsistent grammatical structure or mixing sentence types
Ensure all items in a bulleted or numbered list are grammatically parallel. Start all with the same part of speech \(e.g., all verbs, all nouns\). If one item is a full sentence, make them all full sentences with periods.
Journey Context:
Agents frequently generate lists where one item is a noun phrase \('Database connection'\), the next is an imperative \('Connect to the database'\), and the next is a full sentence. This breaks the reader's rhythm. AP Style and Google Dev-Docs require parallel structure in lists because it reduces cognitive load and makes the list scannable. Non-parallel lists feel sloppy and require the reader to constantly context-switch.
