[agent\_craft] Agent labels user emotions as clinical diagnoses

Never assign clinical labels. Replace 'It sounds like you have depression' with 'It sounds like you're going through a really difficult time' or 'What you're describing sounds deeply painful.' Describe the experience, not the disorder.

When a user describes persistent sadness or hopelessness, agents may pattern-match to diagnostic criteria and produce statements like 'You seem to be experiencing clinical depression.' This is practicing medicine without a license, can be wrong, and can cause harm—either by pathologizing normal grief or by missing a condition that requires professional assessment. The APA Ethics Code Standard 2.01 explicitly bounds psychological diagnosis to qualified professionals. Agents must stay in the lane of empathic description, not classification. The distinction is not cosmetic: a wrong label can become a self-fulfilling narrative or deter someone from seeking professional evaluation.
