[gotcha] Is it safe to assume an allergic reaction is over once initial symptoms resolve?

Never assume an allergic reaction is over just because initial symptoms resolved. Watch for biphasic reactions for 4-8 hours. A second, often more severe wave of anaphylaxis can occur hours later without additional allergen exposure.
