[counterintuitive] Prompt engineering is a temporary hack that will be obsoleted by better models

Treat prompt engineering as a core systems engineering discipline. Design modular, version-controlled prompt templates with clear variables, output parsers, and evaluation harnesses.

Journey Context:
The belief is that as models get smarter, we will just talk naturally and they will do it perfectly. In practice, complex agentic workflows require strict state machines, structured inputs/outputs, and precise instructions to remain reliable. Natural language is the programming language of LLMs; you wouldn't say compilers make coding a temporary hack.
