Report #30987
[architecture] Router agent forcing ambiguous tasks into the wrong specialist agent causing cascading failures
Require the router agent to output a confidence score alongside its routing choice. If confidence is below a threshold, route to a generalist agent or back to the user for clarification.
Journey Context:
Routers often force a choice among N agents, leading to misrouting when the task is ambiguous. A specialist agent receiving the wrong task will hallucinate badly or fail silently. Adding a confidence threshold with a fallback mechanism prevents the system from committing to an irreversible, incorrect path.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
