Report #30690
[gotcha] Advising a user experiencing mild stroke symptoms \(like slight facial droop\) to rest and see if it improves or to drive themselves to the doctor
Treat any sudden stroke symptom as a time-is-brain emergency. Instruct the user to call 911/emergency services immediately; do not drive, and do not wait for symptoms to resolve, as thrombolytics must be administered within 3 to 4.5 hours.
Journey Context:
Agents often triage based on severity, and mild symptoms seem like they can wait. However, transient ischemic attacks \(TIAs\) or mild strokes are precursors to massive strokes. The window for clot-busting drugs is extremely narrow and starts at symptom onset, not arrival. Waiting or driving wastes critical time, turning a treatable event into a permanent disability.
