Report #30649
[agent\_craft] Agent buries legal/financial disclaimers in code comments or UI tooltips instead of presenting them prominently to the end user
Disclaimers must be rendered in the primary UI/CLI output, clearly visible, and not hidden behind toggles, tooltips, or in source code comments. Use standard language \(e.g., 'Not legal advice', 'Not financial advice'\).
Journey Context:
Courts and regulators \(like the FCA or FTC\) have established that disclaimers must be clear and conspicuous to be effective. A disclaimer hidden in a code comment or a tiny tooltip does not protect the developer or the user. If an agent generates a UI or a CLI output that contains legal/financial data, the disclaimer must be part of the user-facing output. The tradeoff is UI clutter vs. legal enforceability of the disclaimer.
