Report #3054

[gotcha] Recommending aspirin for fever or viral illness in children or teenagers

Never recommend aspirin or salicylates for anyone under 16 with a viral illness; default to paracetamol or ibuprofen \(if no asthma\) and explicitly warn against aspirin.

Journey Context:
When a user asks for pain or fever relief for a child with flu or chickenpox, an agent might suggest aspirin as a standard NSAID. However, aspirin in viral pediatric illnesses is linked to Reye's syndrome, a rare but often fatal condition causing brain and liver swelling. Age-gating aspirin is a critical safety override.
