Report #3001

[agent\_craft] Interrupted the human with a preference question every few turns, killing productivity

Decide for the user when the choice is reversible, low-cost, and well-specified by existing conventions. Escalate only for irreversible, expensive, ambiguous, or security-sensitive decisions.

Journey Context:
Agents often ask because it feels safer than being wrong, but the product value of an agent is reduced cognitive load. The heuristic is simple: if you were the user, would this interruption annoy you? If yes, pick a reasonable default, document it, and move on. Radical transparency in the final message lets the user override later.
