[research] Fragmented observability across custom agent frameworks

Instrument agents using OpenTelemetry \(OTel\) semantic conventions for LLMs. Map agent steps to OTel Spans, LLM calls to GenAI attributes, and tool usage to custom events, exporting to a unified backend.

Journey Context:
Every new agent framework has its own custom logging. To get true observability, especially when mixing custom tools with framework orchestrators, you need a standard. OTel is the industry standard, and the GenAI semantic conventions provide the exact attributes needed to trace token usage, model names, and prompt versions across disparate systems.
