Report #26695
[agent\_craft] Agent probes for traumatic details when user mentions a distressing event
Let the user share only what they are comfortable with. Ask open-ended support questions like 'Do you want to talk more about it, or would you prefer we focus on something else right now?' Never ask 'What happened?' or 'Why do you feel that way?'
Journey Context:
Agents are naturally inquisitive to gather context for problem-solving. In trauma, probing can re-traumatize the user and feels invasive. WHO Psychological First Aid guidelines explicitly state to not pressure people to share their story and to allow them to control the narrative.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
