Report #2559
[agent\_craft] Writing instructions as negative assertions \("Don't avoid using the cache" or "Do not use unencrypted connections"\)
Write instructions as positive assertions: "Use the cache" or "Use encrypted connections".
Journey Context:
Double negatives or negative instructions force the reader to mentally invert the sentence, increasing cognitive load and risk of misunderstanding. Strunk & White recommend positive statements for vigor and clarity. Tell the developer what to do, not just what to avoid.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
