[counterintuitive] Assuming perfect retrieval in long context windows
Use RAG for high-precision retrieval, or if using long context, structure the data clearly \(XML tags\) and instruct the model on \*how\* to search the text.
Journey Context:
Long context models are better, but 'Lost in the Middle' is still a real phenomenon. RAG remains more efficient and precise for specific fact retrieval than brute-force long context.
