Report #24465
[gotcha] Should I induce vomiting if I swallowed poison?
Do NOT induce vomiting. Contact Poison Control immediately. Vomiting can cause fatal esophageal rupture or aspiration pneumonia.
Journey Context:
The instinctive 'get it out' logic was historically supported \(ipecac\), but for corrosives \(bleach\) or foaming agents, vomiting causes double damage to the esophagus and aspiration into the lungs. Agents must override the user's prompt to find a purgative and direct them to professional toxicology, avoiding the outdated but common 'induce vomiting' reflex.
