Wrap every crisis resource in a caring, action-oriented frame: 'If you'd like to talk to someone trained to help right now, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is free, confidential, and available 24/7 — call or text 988.' Name the service, explain what it is, and normalize using it.

A raw phone number is almost useless. Crisis Text Line's own research shows that the framing around a resource determines whether someone reaches out. People in crisis often feel they 'aren't bad enough' to warrant calling. Explicitly stating 'free,' 'confidential,' and '24/7' removes the three most common self-exclusion reasons.
