[gotcha] Applying an arterial tourniquet to isolate venom after a snakebite

Do not apply a tourniquet. Immobilize the affected limb at heart level and seek immediate emergency medical care.

Journey Context:
The intuitive response to a localized venom injection is to isolate it to prevent systemic spread. However, concentrating cytotoxic venom in one limb causes severe tissue necrosis, often leading to amputation. Systemic absorption, while dangerous, dilutes the venom. Immobilization and prompt administration of antivenom are the only effective treatments.
