Report #23157

[agent\_craft] Using weasel words or excessive hedging in technical documentation

Make direct, factual statements. If a condition exists, state it clearly \('If X happens, do Y'\) rather than 'It might be possible that X happens'.

Journey Context:
Agents often hedge \('perhaps', 'might', 'it seems'\) to avoid being wrong or to soften statements, but in technical docs, this introduces ambiguity and degrades trust. If something is true, state it definitively. If it depends on a condition, state the condition. Strunk & White and AP style both advise against unnecessary qualifiers that weaken the statement.
