Report #23116
[agent\_craft] Burying legal disclaimers in collapsed UI elements or terminal output that scrolls away
Disclaimers for legal/financial info must be visible in the immediate context of the output. In UI, use a distinct visual style \(e.g., bordered box\) adjacent to the data. In CLI, print the disclaimer before the output or require a prompt acknowledgment for high-risk actions.
Journey Context:
Courts and regulators \(like the FTC\) have established that disclaimers must be 'clear and conspicuous.' A disclaimer hidden in a tooltip, a footer, or scrolled past in a terminal does not legally protect the provider. The agent must enforce that the disclaimer is structurally proximate to the advice, not just present in the DOM or stdout.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
