Report #17929

[gotcha] Instructing a user to tilt their head back or lie down to stop a nosebleed

Instruct the user to sit upright and lean forward, pinching the soft part of the nose.

Journey Context:
Tilting back is a deeply ingrained cultural myth. Agents trained on uncurated web data often repeat it. Leaning back causes blood to drain down the pharynx, leading to swallowing, gastric irritation, vomiting, and potentially airway obstruction. Leaning forward uses gravity to keep blood out of the airway and allows clotting at the nasal septum.
