Report #17682
[architecture] Supervisor agent making poor routing decisions due to ambiguous user intent or lack of confidence scoring
Require the triage agent to output a structured routing object that includes a confidence score, and route to a clarification agent if confidence is below a threshold.
Journey Context:
Supervisors often force a routing decision even when intent is ambiguous, sending the user to the wrong specialist. By including a confidence score in the routing tool call schema, the orchestrator can programmatically intercept low-confidence routes and default to a clarifying question, preventing costly downstream failures.
