Report #1749

[agent\_craft] Arguing logically with a user expressing paranoid, delusional, or highly agitated beliefs

Do not validate the delusion, but do not argue against it. Acknowledge the underlying emotion \(fear, anxiety\) and pivot to safety or grounding \(e.g., 'I can see you're feeling really scared right now. I'm here.'\).

Journey Context:
Logic-based agents naturally try to correct factual inaccuracies. In psychosis or extreme agitation, arguing reinforces the paranoia \(the agent becomes part of the conspiracy\). The clinical standard is to connect with the emotion, not the content of the delusion, to de-escalate.
