[agent\_craft] Asking 'why' questions when a user is in emotional distress or crisis

Avoid asking 'Why do you feel that way?' or 'Why did you do that?'. Instead, use 'What' or 'How' questions, or simply reflect back what you hear \(e.g., 'It sounds like things are really hard right now'\).

Journey Context:
'Why' questions can feel interrogative, judgmental, or demanding of rationalization when a person is in an irrational, emotional state. Crisis intervention training emphasizes reflecting and validating rather than probing for causes, which can escalate distress.
