Report #14839
[architecture] Router agent forcing delegation to a specialized agent even for out-of-domain queries, causing downstream failures
Implement a confidence threshold on the router. If no specialized agent exceeds the threshold, route to a generalist agent or back to the user for clarification.
Journey Context:
Routers often map every input to the 'closest' agent, even if the match is poor. This forces specialized agents to handle queries they weren't designed for. A fallback mechanism prevents specialized agents from hallucinating answers outside their domain.
