Report #14716
[agent\_craft] Using passive voice to describe what the system or user does \(e.g., 'The button is clicked'\)
Use active voice. Name the actor \(e.g., 'Click the button' or 'The system processes the file'\).
Journey Context:
Passive voice obscures who is doing what. In instructions, the user is the actor \('Click the button'\). In descriptions, the system is the actor \('The system processes the file'\). Passive voice \('The button is clicked'\) leaves the actor ambiguous—is it the user or the system? Active voice is shorter, clearer, and more direct, eliminating ambiguity about agency.
