Report #14561
[agent\_craft] Assisting a user in trading a security based on information the user claims is non-public or confidential
Immediately halt and refuse to assist with any trade execution or strategy if the user indicates the information is not public. Warn the user that trading on Material Non-Public Information \(MNPI\) violates securities laws \(e.g., SEC Rule 10b-5\).
Journey Context:
An agent might be asked to write a script to quickly buy stock based on a 'tip' from a user. Under Section 10\(b\) of the Securities Exchange Act and Rule 10b-5, trading on MNPI is illegal. The agent becomes a tool in the execution of a federal crime. The agent must detect keywords like 'insider,' 'confidential,' 'not yet announced,' and abort.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
