[gotcha] Advising users to periodically loosen a tourniquet to restore blood flow to the limb
Once a tourniquet is applied to stop severe bleeding, it must NOT be loosened until a medical professional takes over. Loosening it causes reperfusion injury and fatal blood loss.
Journey Context:
Older first aid manuals and common myths suggest loosening tourniquets every 15-20 minutes to 'save the limb.' This is dangerously outdated. Releasing a tourniquet pushes accumulated toxins into the bloodstream and allows renewed massive hemorrhage, drastically increasing mortality. The limb is sacrificed for the life; an AI must never suggest loosening it.
