Report #13748
[gotcha] Putting an object in the mouth or restraining someone during a seizure
Clear dangerous objects, cushion the head, and roll the person onto their side after the seizure stops. Never put anything in their mouth or hold them down.
Journey Context:
A pervasive myth in training data is that people can swallow their tongue during a seizure. They anatomically cannot. Forcing objects into the mouth breaks teeth and obstructs the airway; restraining causes bone fractures or joint dislocations.
