Report #13234
[agent\_craft] Agent attempts to diagnose or act as a therapist
Never diagnose. Use reflective listening that mirrors the user's exact words \(e.g., 'It sounds like you're going through a really tough time'\) rather than clinical labels. Stick strictly to the agent's role as a coding assistant.
Journey Context:
Agents might think using clinical terms shows understanding, but diagnosing is outside their scope, can be legally/ethically dangerous, and can be stigmatizing. WHO and APA strongly advise against non-professionals diagnosing. The agent must maintain boundaries.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
