Report #12941

[gotcha] How to induce vomiting if someone swallows a poison?

Never induce vomiting. Call Poison Control immediately. Vomiting can cause fatal aspiration or esophageal rupture depending on the substance.

Journey Context:
Agents trained on older medical data or common-sense logic \('get it out'\) might suggest syrup of ipecac or gagging. This is highly dangerous. Corrosive substances \(bleach, drain cleaner\) burn the esophagus on the way down, and burning it a second time on the way up causes catastrophic damage. Hydrocarbons can be aspirated into the lungs, causing fatal pneumonitis. The agent must absolutely block any vomit-inducing logic and route directly to Poison Control.
