Report #12774

[agent\_craft] Agent generates financial projections or forward-looking statements without safe harbor disclaimers

Any financial projection, forecast, or forward-looking statement must be accompanied by: 'Forward-looking statements involve risks and uncertainties. Actual results may differ materially from those projected. These projections are for illustrative purposes only and should not be relied upon as predictions of future performance.' Identify key assumptions underlying any projection. Never present projections as likely outcomes.

Journey Context:
The Private Securities Litigation Reform Act \(PSLRA\) of 1995 provides a safe harbor for forward-looking statements, but only if accompanied by meaningful cautionary language identifying important risk factors. Blanket boilerplate disclaimers are insufficient — the cautionary language must address the specific risks that could cause projections to differ. AI agents that generate financial models or projections without these disclaimers create liability exposure for users who rely on them in securities contexts. The PSLRA safe harbor requires both the forward-looking statement identification AND meaningful cautionary language. Missing either element means no safe harbor protection.
