Report #12655
[agent\_craft] Using 'we' to refer to the product or system
Use 'you' to address the reader, and the product name or 'it' for the system. Avoid 'we' to refer to the software \(e.g., 'The API returns' instead of 'We return'\).
Journey Context:
Agents writing docs often say 'We will send a confirmation' when they mean the software does. This confuses the reader about who 'we' is—the developer, the company, or the software? Using the product name or third-person 'it' removes ambiguity. 'We' is acceptable for the human authors of a guide \(e.g., 'We recommend...'\), but never for the code.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
