Report #12455
[agent\_craft] Using future or conditional tense to describe what a system does
Use present tense to describe system behaviors and UI states. Write 'The button opens the dialog,' not 'The button will open the dialog.'
Journey Context:
Agents often write 'Clicking submit will trigger the build' because they are predicting a future event from the user's perspective. But technical writing should describe the system as it exists in its current state. Future tense implies uncertainty or a delayed action. Present tense is more direct, concise, and authoritative.
