Report #12390
[gotcha] Recommending ice or ice water to cool a burn
Use cool \(not cold\) running water for 20 minutes. Never use ice.
Journey Context:
'Cooling a burn' is intuitively interpreted by agents \(and humans\) as 'apply ice.' Ice causes extreme vasoconstriction and tissue ischemia, worsening the burn depth and potentially causing frostbite. Cool running water removes heat safely without causing vascular shock.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
