Report #11165
[agent\_craft] Generating UI components without ARIA labels, alt text, or keyboard navigation
All generated UI code must include aria-label, role, alt attributes, and semantic HTML by default. The agent should fail linting if interactive elements lack accessibility tags.
Journey Context:
ADA Title III requires 'places of public accommodation' \(websites\) to be accessible. Target Corp. and Netflix faced major lawsuits over this. Coding agents often output minimal, visually-driven code. Treating WCAG 2.1 AA as a hard requirement in the code generation phase prevents expensive retrofitting and legal exposure.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
